On 3 Aug 2009, Duty positions will be reworked to align with the defined CAP organizational structure including the variation in titles at the different levels of the origination. The past practice of a region/wing/unit requesting a new duty position title has been discontinued and recognized positions will be standardized in accordance with CAPR 20-1, Organization of Civil Air Patrol. Previously posted on 26 Jun 2009. Permissions for some of the applications within eServices are currently tied to a members duty position as defined in the system. As of 3 Aug 2009, the primary method of gaining access to the applications and modules will be via the duty position assigned. This will reduce the amount of work that WSA’s need to do but will allow for exceptions. If a member transfers to another unit all duty positions and application access will be removed as a result of the transfer. The list of duty positions that can be assigned has been reworked to align with the defined CAP organizational structure including the variation in titles at the different levels of the organization.
